MP3 is unpredictable but has definitely made some very laggy postflop moves. He isn't extremely loose though.

i don't like it, the pot is pretty small and you have maybe 5-7 outs depending on whether you are dominated which is possible. I also don't think your play has much semi-bluff value since you probably aren't gonna push LAG off his hand by c/r here...

Seems like you are representing the 8 w/ a semi bluff.

From your read it doesn't sound like MP3 would fold to a check raise here often enough. Even if he just has overcards.

Whats his PFR% is he likely to just be on overcards or does he just raise big pocket pairs?

Can he fold hands on the turn or river?

Whats his likely read on you?

I think this is a good play if he views you as tight and he can let go of AK type hands against aggression.
