Not sure what i was doing here. After the flop cap, i was reasonably sure that button had A9. So i made the BB call two cold on the turn? i dont know, i am a moron sometimes.

Edit: Read on villian is a semiknowledgeable player. Somewhat tight, not really that aggressive.

Why A9 of all hands? Seems like a strange hand for the button to cold-call with, especially with so few players.

A9s actually. It was the only hand that made sense. He could be getting crazy with AQ, but doubtful. Sometimes i have the intense moments where the colors go all bright and shiny, and the little leprechauns come out and tell me what my opponent has. Who says flashbacks arent cool?

What about a set? I mean obviously you already know the outcome, but wouldn't he play a set the same way?

I think people tend to slowplay sets a little bit more than 2 pair.

I dont think 55 coldcalls here. The semiknowledgeable think that low pairs are isolation-3-betting hands. 99 might be there, but im thinking he would reraise pf, although i didnt discount it. Seriously dude, the little people just came out and said he had A9. I dunno, maybe its time to go back to the psych.

None of this really makes a difference in the hand, but it's something to kill time talking about.

Would a good, tight player cold-call with A9s in this situation?

The read on villain is "Somewhat Tight" so I think, yeah A9s is a possible cold calling hand.

Hmm, that's an immediate muck for me. In fact, I can't think of many worse hands to call with in that situation.

Crazy?

A good tight player wouldnt. But i dont play against those kinds of players. This schmoe knew just enough to get himself in trouble. "its ok to call two cold with A9s, because, likely my ace is good, but if not i can still get the flush."

Some of my biggest AK hands are against people playing smaller suited aces, not believing we share TP.

I'd never cold call with it either unless against a monster LAG and then I'm probably 3-betting.
