I've noticed that most of the casinos in san francisco area go from 3/6 to 6/12, any particular reason?

Are there any casinos with a 4/8 or 5/10?

I play 3/6 online but find 6/12 a little out of my b&m comfort and bankroll level, but something in between would be nice...

I think there are 4-8 stud games out there, but there aren't any hold em games. 6-12 is a great game in the casinos around the Bay Area. Try it, you may like it.

thanks, i would definitely play the 6/12 if i could afford it, cuz ive watched it at LC and it seems very beatable, its just a b&m bankroll thing...

Any idea why there are no limits in between?

"inbetween" limits kill games. and forget 5/10 in california. 4/8 games in california(maybe even 3-6) using $1 chips are twice as big as 5/10 games in other parts of the country. Any casino today that spreads 5/10 using redbirds is a card room that has no clue. The action do to the visual of the larger pots with the smaller denomination chips is much higher and the games last much longer.

6/12 games @ LC use $2 chips. Count the avg money in 50 pots there. Then next time you go to the Mirage in LV where they use a combo redbird and $1 chip, count the potsizes. LC will be 40% + larger pots.

This makes it possible for the bad players to chase bad odds that even they wouldnt chase when they only see 6 chips in the pot instead of 12 chips. Yet both pots are the same size.
