Do you make these calls? Which are easy calls, which aren't? One thing I'm afraid of, is that I start to steal less and call less when I'm running bad.

I wouldn't call any of those. There's still six or more people left on the table, so there will be plenty of opportunities to steal back those blinds later when you get playable hands.

Cheers,

I don't make any of these calls with the stack info you provided. I especially don't like making short stacked calls with hands like K6 or Q3 because of the chance of being dominated. I actually think the closest hand to a call is #2 because you are unlikely to be dominated and you still have enough chips to work with if you lose. That said, 47o is still not good enough there for me.

Fold the whole lot, except maybe (5), but the fact that the raise comes from middle position makes that a fold for me, because it doesn't look like a real desperation raise.

For the junk hands, you generally want the final pot size to be at least 3.5 times what you're putting in. There are times when you can call putting in 1/3 of the pot, e.g. when you're calling allin - this is a desperation play in an attempt to get a decent size stack back.

Fold 'em all except for the last one.

The only way to play those hands would be if you had 1) Postion 2) Initiative. In all the cases provided you have none of those requirements. Fold Fold Fold. In most of the cases you are not in immediate danger of busting out.

Why make a desperation play?

Even if I smelled weakness I would try and pick my spots better than that.

1-4 are supereasy folds.
5 is a fold.

I call #5 easy.

I'd also call #2. The pot odds make it about right and I think with your stack, you're gonna be around a while... and calling like that adds a psychological edge (causes others to think twice before stealing from you)

Fold the rest.

Thanks for the replies. As you see, I didn't call any of these, but I feel that some of them might have been +CEV calls, based purely on the pot odds and odds of winning vs. various ranges of hands. What I wasn't really sure of, was the +$EV of these same moves. I am sure that at least 2 of these plays are +CEV, if not a few more.

I just wanted to make sure that 'running bad' wasn't making me play timidly and incorrectly.

I appreciate the feedback!
