I think the Texans play tough enough D and have enough offense that ten points is too much to expect.

Bills are not quite the same team, nor is NE, as in the first game. Too many points again.

Yeah, week 1 was a loooooooooong time ago, haven't gone better then +$200 since. After the past few weeks, +$200 is looking really freaking good right now.

This week I go purely on instinct and guessing, pretty much what I did in the first few weeks. Apparently research doesn't help my clarity of thinking too well in later weeks, I must be looking at the wrong numbers. If that doesn't work, I'm going to go with my anti-instinct. If that doesn't work I'm going to have to run away, so I don't take a crowbar to the kneecaps for all the money I owe Easy E. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

I'm scared that everyone seems to like the Texans this week, but screw them. I keep coming back to the Redskins like a battered wife, but that defense is too pretty to ignore. Cinci's 0-4 road record doesn't hurt either.

<font color="red"> Falcons </font> Love the Falcons coming off a bye week, which followed a game where their offense clicked a bit. The whole Brian Griese-Michael Pittman honeymoon ends now.
<font color="red"> Texans </font> Indy's defense is too bad to be 9.5 point favorites; they haven't beaten a quality opponent by that much all year. I think Indy wins this game, just not by 10 points.

<font color="red"> Bills </font> With McGahee, 8.5 is too many points to give the Bills, even in Foxboro. Buffalo is hitting its stride.

<font color="red"> Seahawks </font> Holmgren is dedicated to getting the ball to his star RB; Martz is not. That and the way Seattle has run the ball the last few weeks gives them the nod here, because the Rams run D is so bad. Furthermore, Seattle basically kicked St. Louis' collective ass for 50+ minutes in their first meeting, only to let it slip away down the stretch. Don't think they haven't forgotten.

Other games considered:

Titans -- I liked this game for a while...then I saw that Chris Brown is a little banged up, then I remembered the Bears winning on the road last week...then I remembered that Anthony Thomas is basically running for a starting job somewhere else...so I went elsewhere.

Lions -- Thought that with Leftwich out (even though I've heard great things about Garrard, Detroit might be a good play...but even though I'm not a big Fred Taylor fan, I couldn't see their D stopping him. Plus, the Lions have the worst offense in the league, and Jax's D is solid.

Saints -- No Holmes, and a possibly injured Blaylock really made me look at this one, but the Saints defense is so bad...I dunno. I see this one as one of those shootout type games with no FGs...meaning that if KC wins, they win by more than 5. And the Saints are so unpredictable. I think I might be extra-wary of NO because I've lost with them twice already this year.

As usual...I'm not actually betting real money on any of these games, so keep that in mind.
