Hi everyone.

I'm a limit player and this is my first post in the SNG forum. I'm not sure how win rates are measured in SNG games, but I have a freind who says he knows someboday playing $200 SNGs and averaging 4K a day!!!!! WTF??? He says this guy plays about 15 $200 SNGs a day and is able to pull in 4K ON AVERAGE.

I told him, that can't be right, but he insists he knows a guy that's doing this. Since I don't play SNGs I really couldn't talk win rates with him so I ended the conversation by acknowledging that I don't know the SNG games and so I will believe him until some other SNG player tells me otherwise.

Can someone tell me if 4K a day is do-able at $200 SNG?????

Of course it's possible..

If you play 150 a day

He's exaggerating, you can only lose $3225 per day in 15 $200 sngs.

A 20% ROI player would have to play 93 games a day. Fat chance...

I'm absolutely certain that Dali will try it at some point /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Yea, that's what I thought....
So, what is the unit of measure for win rates in SNG games?
I see the term ROI... can some explain this to me and what a reasonable ROI is for a winning player?

oh yeah sure thats possible, but I mean a 125% ROI is on the low end.

I know at least like 3 dozen people who have a 200% ROI at the $215's

I hear your friend's friend is saving up his $4k/day to buy a bridge in Brooklyn...

ROI is your net profit divided by total buyins

what they said...

If you want to hit your friend with the exact stats here they are.

a $215 player can expect about a 15% RoI(Return of investment) if he is good. If he is a tremendous he might be able to pull in a 20% roi, but I doubt it.

Do the math.

$215 x 15 x 20% = $645 Not even close

He would need to make an average of $267 per SnG .. Thats over 100% roi.. NO ONE can do that. NO ONE! (not for an extended period)

Sure its possible.

As long as your friend has managed to hack into the sites server and stopped the continuous shuffle, so that he knows every card before it comes. Otherwise tell him to he is full of [censored].
