View Full Version : Shazbot! A8s UTG gets me into trouble.

I had some trouble with this hand. I guess I thought the table was more loose/passive than it really was, which is why I played A8s here, so no need to criticize that really. I am not sure if I played the flop and turn well. When he 3bet me on the flop I figured he might also do this with a high heart, so I kind of said to myself that I would call him down. So, is the flop checkraise ok and should I have folded on the turn unimproved?

How I would have played this hand in order...

1) muck preflop.
2) raise preflop.
3) If I limped...bet out on the flop. What does the check-raise do for you here other than get you in trouble?
