Made this call without a read. Will post some thoughts later.

in the title of your post you indicated that the river bet was a bluff, yet you stated that you played the hand w/out any reads. which is it?

It's almost impossible without a read on his play. I'm far from an expert here, but I think a bet on the turn was needed.

If he still went all in on the river, I'd feel better that he might have something. But he's likely responding to your check after the turn. If you'd bet on the turn, I think his reaction might have helped.

Title means that I can't call unless I figure it to be a bluff. Had no info on this player other than how he played this hand, still thought it was a bluff.
