party poker and empire poker

I've been playing party for a while now and wanted to sign up for empire to get extra bonuses, etc. Can I do this? I tried signing up for empire and it gave me a message that party poker was on my computer or something. I thought people did this. Sorry if this is a newbie question. You need to use a clean computer. For instance, a friend who doens't play poker's computer or one in a computer lab.
