View Full Version : Vacation Ideas For Single Men

I'd like to take a vacation somewhere, the problem is I don't know where.

I'm used to traveling with friends or family, but this one would be alone as most my friends are married, and my single friends don't have much money.

I'm probably leaning towards a more tropical climate, ie. Hawaii, Carribean, maybe the coast of Mexico.

Keep in mind, I'm a single guy so, the prospect of hooking up with some foreign women is quite attractive. So that would be a factor, but not the primary one.

I realize my question is kind of vague, but do any of you have any favorite travel spots, or where do you want to go?

I've been all over the U.S., and to Hawaii, but nothing really international.

Thanks in advance for any ideas...

Just find another single man and your problem has been solved. /images/graemlins/smirk.gif

if you like outdoor activities, go on a singles group backpacking excursion, horse riding or bike trip someplace. They're offered all over the world, are reasonably inexpensive, and you'll manage to really get to know the people you're with instead of just co-existing along side of them.

I've heard from several people that vacationed in Vegas alone and they all said it was great. I've never done a whole vacation there alone, but have arrived earlier/left later than the rest of my group, so have a spent a couple days solo and had a great time.

A buddy of mine who was in your shoes went to Todos Santos in Mexico. He said it was awesome. A hipster Mexican resort town. Great surfing also.

Just watch a few episodes of Wild On on E! You'll get plenty of ideas. I think the Ibiza episode had to be the best.

single American guy?

Europe, without a doubt. Especially Prague, Budapest, etc. They LOVE American men over there...and the women are truly spectacular.

also, Australia is worthwhile.

As for the Caribbean, Mexico and Hawaii...they're all great, but really not "singles" places, you know?

Thailand without a doubt. First a week in Bangkok then down to Pattaya Beach for the final week.

They love American men because their guys are sick of women that smell like cooked cabbage /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Go to Croatia. Tons of fine women, great weather, nice beaches, better cities than western Europe. The only expensive part will be the plane ticket. Check out Dubrovnik and Hvar island

Ah . . How old are you and what part of the country do you live in ?. This info would make it a little easier. I'm not sure I'd let a bunch of guys who sit in front of their computer screens for 10+ hours a day plan my vacation, but hey it's your holiday.

If you want to travel with a bunch of single travellers in the 18-35 year old range and have a VERY good chance of hooking up I'd check out Contiki Holidays. They do tours all over the world.

If you don't want to go WITH other people but still have a very good chance of hooking up I'd suggest Club Med or a similiar outfit. They have these "wildcard" weeks where if you are flexible they pick the week and the location of where you go, and then give you a big break on the price. Additionally, because these wildcard weeks are cheap, they tend to attract a younger single crowd who do not have as much disposable income.

My 2 cents (without knowing the answers to the questions posed above)
