Keeping in mind I didn't know at the time they were gonna cap the turn and river, was my fold too early, was there too much in the pot?

I think this fold is all right. UTG and UTG+1 are both representing trips pretty hard; at least one of them has it. It is very probable that you're drawing to two outs. You're getting 13.75:1, and at least one raise behind you is a real possibility. You can let this one go.

By the way, with a hand like this one you shouldn't post the river card and action: it can skew the advice you get. It sucks to see that you would have have taken the hand, and that you would have got full action from both opponents, but if you needed the boat to win I think you made the right decision.
