Lowball

Any general tips for playing in a limit Ace to Five 4-6 handed game without the joker? I have read supersystem but it all involves the joker.

Where the hell are you playing limit draw lowball without a joker?

In a home with slightly used deck. The joker would stick out like a sore thumb. If you are using plastic cards, a dealer with a sensitive touch could easily detect it because it will have a different feel or thickness than that of the other cards unless the deck is brand spanking new. If you want to use the joker in home dealer's choice games, you should have a special deck that is used for only these games.

I'm just learning the standard lowball game (with joker) so I can't offer any specific advice about strategy adjustments. However, pat hands would obviously have higher value relative to draws when there is no joker.
