I woulda bet out on the flop but if I suspected someone was gonna bet I may have tried the check raise. I think the cap on the end is fine since it is hard to see how the 2 woulda helped him.

2 things I think about with regards to UTG+1.....

1. If he has an idea/knows something about the game, his turn and river play look like J8 or 86; going for the overcalls on the turn, then thinking it's not likely that both players to act behind him are going to overcall on the river and you're going to at least call the river, so he makes the same amount with a straight by raising the river. Thing is: A player that knows what they're doing probably isn't going to limp from EP with 86 or J8 unless they're suited and it's LP PF.

2. He has no idea: Could be anything from 22, 77, TT, 99, T2, A2, T7, T9. I gave up trying to figure clueless players out a long time ago. I can't see how the 2 helps much, except for something like A2.

Looks like a well-played turned straight to me, but that's giving alot of credit to someone who would play J8 or 86 from EP (again..... unless the table is LP PF).
