Is it just me or are the Party 3/6 tables full of TAG and LAG players?

Im really having a hard time finding good tables at 3/6. I dropped back down to 2/4 today. Plenty of fish down here.

If you cant spot the fish....

Tell me about it.

There are usually enough fish during NA peak time but if you play during non US times you'll struggle to find many fish.

I'm thinking of mixing the 2 limits, too bad I deleted my $2/$4 fish list /images/graemlins/frown.gif.

Play the bad beat tables, much more fishy.

Ive thought about the bad beat tables, but the extra .50 rake is killer.

The games really are a lot better. I play when the jackpot gets pretty big, and people will play any suited crap to try and make a straight flush. The pots seem to be about a Big Bet bigger on average.

50% of the players; at least. Suck.

I think it's getting worse too (better).

This post wasn't too helpful, so here's my edit; I still don't use PokerTracker, so I spend more time on less tables, watching players...get to know your table, and your players; If you don't see at least 3 or 4 players show some bad hands, miss some bets; etc. Theres your table. And during U.S. peak times, that's pretty much every table.

I hadn't played a hand of limit since microlimiting on stars in the spring. 3/6 is entirely beatable in my uber newbie state.

Fish abound.

OK, what's wrong with this statement?
Loose, aggressive players are producers/donators, plain and simple. Otherwise we'd all play that way.

Also, there are many tight, aggressive players who suck postflop and who I'm pretty sure are long-term losers. Most 3/6 players make plenty of mistakes, myself included. Finding a good game is nowhere near as hard as you're making it out to be.

Well first off its the truth. If you cant identify the mistakes your opponents are making you are in big trouble. They are better than you and you are going to get outplayed.

Second nobody appointed you the jerk-off police. At least my post had some value if you looked past the rough delivery. Yours is just crude.

no he is right. you are a jerkoff. and im running around 2.75BB/100 over my last 18,000 hands of party 3/6

Sigh... Ok so I am a jerkoff.

I didnt call you a fish. I said if you cant spot the fish then you are the fish. And I stand by that comment. I dont doubt that you are capable of beating the game, but if you can beat the game you have to be identifying your opponents mistakes, and taking advantage of them, or you would be losing.

Quoting the most trite saying in poker in order to call the initial poster a fish was neither helpful, truthful, or clever. I've gotten more value out of half-price, day-old bread.

Do the rats get their own Skinner boxes, or do they just use the ones you raised your kids in?

You just need to look harder...the 3/6 games are plenty fishy. I just popped into 4 tables, and 3 of them are great.

I apologize if my manner has offended anyone.

Let me rephrase myself.

If I find that I can't identify the fish at a table, then I realize that I am the fish.

Bluffoon

And having only 500 posts qualifies you to tell me this?

It's nothing like that. We just allow them to hang out and eat. Same thing goes for the rats.

Me too, I hate it. More in hand histories for dissection, because it's just derogatory and doesn't explain about playing style, but in general I dislike being a dick about people who aren't around.

Of course, on the forum where people can reply it's different, but I still wouldn't call someone a fish because it is not constructive in any way. Jerk-off is fine though, that's much more appropriate.

For all my faults, I have sworn to never use the word "fish" to describe an opponent. It does a world of good for my game. I'm not kidding.

Where did the word fish come from anyway? Why does it have anything to do with bad poker players? I thought eating fish was good for the brain. You never see anybody eating bad poker players. Such a mystery.

Another example; table is completely going batshit, every pot is 3 bet in at least one round, the pre-flop hands are atrocious, and this is all while I'm reading the "debate" about whether or not a good Party 3/6 game can be found. I'm on cruise control have taken 3 humongo pots in my 20 minutes at the table, and have drawn some heat from the masses for "not calming down";

I'm dealt A /images/graemlins/spade.gifA /images/graemlins/club.gif in UTG2. UTG Calls, I Raise, BB (WeakPassive)/SB(Bad-Decent-PostFlop) and UTG (Pretty Bad) call.

Flop is...

4-5-6 (suits unimportant)

I bet, button calls, SB Raises, UTG Calls, I 3-Bet, Button Calls, SB Caps, I Call.

Turn is a 7..

SB Bets, UTG Raises, I fold. Even with Players this Bad I had to be beat.

River was another 5; it was Capped. Winner showed 5-7 to SB's 2-3o.

One last note, these guys were actually some of the better one's at the table; I had to make a note on one person it read: "worst player I have ever played with".

Plenty of bad players last night. I made Sklansky bucks galore. And lost about 50 BBs. I rock.
