Please help - no limit

I was watching a R2-R4 no limit game in my local casino.With only about R20-00 in the pot the players were raising amounts up to R400-00!! Obviously the pot odds are non existant in a game like this. What strategies does one utilise in this sort of game?

i dont know what those dashes mean in your numbers. i would wait for AA-QQ and push preflop.

in games like this the value of hands is skewed drastically.
suited connectors and suited aces etc. are worthless. AK/AA/KK/QQ and maybe JJ are all that are woth playing, and each are worth a huge amount of money.

dont bluff and peddle the preflop nuts- you'll walk home a winner.
