Dear Negerlein,

Over the last few days, we have experienced some server capacity issues that have resulted in several crashes of the software. We are working hard to improve this situation and we have made several adjustments to increase load capacity and ensure your True Poker playing experience is interruption-free in the future.

Unfortunately, in the recovery from these crashes we have discovered that inadvertently $424 in extra chips have been placed in your account. We have now made an adjustment to take those chips out of your account, and you will now see your proper balance when you log in.

We are truly sorry for the confusion this may have caused, and to say thanks for the inconvenience, we are inviting you to a special $2500 Freeroll to be held on Thursday, November 11th at 9:00 pm Eastern. You have been pre-registered into this event, so all you need to do is show up and play!

Thanks again, and we hope you continue to enjoy your True Poker experience.

Sincerely,

The True Poker Crew

Briefly, Truepoker had a couple of crashes last week. Our cash recovery system mistakenly put funds into some players accounts when the server re-started. These chip/funds transactions were a mistake. However, we reversed only amounts tied directly to a prior chip/funding overpayment.

Please email me if you have any questions about your account, we will send you both the original credit error and the reversal of that error. (The hand history logs sent below are not properly formatted, sorry.)

A number of players called the mistakes to our attention and we discovered a number of others. (Thank you to those customers who reported our error and told us we had put unearned money in their accounts by mistake.)

Over the weekend, we discovered and reversed the mistaken credits generally. That is what occurred.

(Actually, if we had mistakenly issued credits for $50 or less, we let those lucky players keep them).

If ANYONE feels that the funds recovered from his/her account were recovered in error, please email me directly at management@truepoker.com.)

We intended to take back only credits we issued by mistake. These had nothing to do with deposits or playing poker, every deposit and every pot won was credited properly. These reversals dealt only with specifc instances where our server dumped "extra" chips into some players' accounts.

Again, if anyone feels that we reversed any other sort of transaction for their account, please email me at management@truepoker.com.

Generally, I tried to address the issues in a longer post in this thread.

Some players brought our mistake in adding extra chips to our attention immediately. We reviewed the affected accounts and reversed only specific erroneous transactions.

If ANYONE feels that we reversed a transaction in error, please be certain to let me know at Management@truepoker.com

We regret any incovenience and have registered all affected players in a $2,500 Freeroll to make amends.

Actually, we give CASH for Points to our Gold/Platinum players so, at 2,400,000 points, you could take the cash anyway.

Dear Sir,

You wrote in on November 6 and were sent the money logs which showed $424 being added to your account by mistake. Somehow, your posting failed to mention that email response from 2 days ago.

Your account was credited for $424 due to a server error. That error was later reversed, as you were told by our Support email on November 7.

This is not about 2000 hands, but rather about a single $424 error in crediting your account by server mistake. (Your deposit records do not relfect any such deposit by the way.)

If we credit your account with unearned money by mistake, why shouldn't we reverse the error when we learn of it.

No one "stole" any money. I will look over all your hands during the time at issue, between Nov 3 - 5, to verify that the $424 credit was the subject of the reversal and not any profits or pots won in game play.

it never ceases to amaze me how these angle shooters will come here presenting thier case like this and leave out the most important part of the details because it does not suit them.

hey freeroll, do you really think truepoker would steal your $424, but not steal from anyone else? how long do you think it would take them to make $424 the HONEST way, which is just by a few minutes (if that) from the hole proceeds?

why did you not post the money log? why would he choose only YOU to steal from? nobody else seems to be complaining, and it seems the goodwill freeroll and the 'under $50 gifts' has cost him a helluva lot more than $424.

give him time to look at the HH's and stick a cork in the slander for now.

I'm just going to say that I've played at true for over a year. Ocassionally True has an issue come up. I believe issues come up less often at True than most sites. When an issue comes up True support has always been on top of it.

True CEO also is one of a few that read these boards and handles issues almost immidiately.

"Actually, we give CASH for Points to our Gold/Platinum players so, at 2,400,000 points, you could take the cash anyway."

I don't understand why you have to be a Gold/Platinum player to cash out the points. I used to play on your site and hit Gold status at one point. Option to cash out the points became available to me. Then I did not play for a while, my status dropped. One day I signed on and played for a while then decided what the heck let me cash these points BUT wait my status dropped below Gold. Can I ask you what difference does it make if you are Gold or whatever to cash out the points? So you drop players in status if they don't play for a while but I don't see why you should not be able to cash out the points since you still have them.

Freeroll,

Without listing all your hands, you might be interested in the following summary:

On November 3, you began play at about 7:06 am with $755. Contrary to your post, your account WAS active online when we had a crash. At the time, your account balance was $640.

Without you playing another hand or making a deposit, your money logs shows at 3:34 pm, our server mistakenly credited your account with $424, inflating your balance to $ 1,064.

You began playing again, triggering the money log report that afternoon, signing off at 4:45pm, with a balance of $973, including the $424 mistakenly put into your account.

You began playin again on Nov 4 at 11:09 am with your $973 balance and finished with a balance of $860 at 4:38 pm.

You next began playing on November 5 at 9:47 am, with a balance of $860, finishing at 5:12 pm with a balance of $1,008, including the $424 mistaken credit from November 3.

On November 6, at 11:12 am, Truepoker recovered the $424 it had mistakenly credited you on November 3, leaving you a balance of $584.

There is nothing extraordinary in your hand histories, your play tracked normally. The anamoly was not involved in any hand. It is trackable in the money logs you were sent already.

Five times in your post, you use the word "around" to describe either (a) the amount you won/loss; or (b) the amount in your account.

I highly recommend you keep accurate records of all banking transactions. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif Especially if you are going to challenge the veracity of the website where you are going to play.

I also noticed that you were + $84 after playing 5 sessions of low limit tables, playing 2 - 4 tables at a time. Perhaps you should post some hands so we can comment upon your play. I leave that to your discretion.

True Poker has always been very helpful when problems occur. I have to say that I don't like seeing post accusing a site in bold letters of cheating without first giving that site a chance to defend themselves, it's bad for business. Once again the True CEO steps up and handles the situation professionally.

I looked at the money logs for your account. There IS an odd change on November 6. I am not sure of the cause but it looks out of line enough that I will provide a credit while I ask the Technical folks to review it. I will credit your account the $169 anamoly and add a $50 comp for bringing it to our attention as we have not had any other reports like this from that date.

Thanks,

David Gzesh

Its gestures like this that make me change my mind from my initial reaction, which was to cashout and never go back, to sticking around for a while and playing some more hands.

Thank you David.

Freeroll! Give it up! You have no credibility here. You're just slamming one of the best poker sites on the Net without showing even a shred of evidence to make a case for yourself. Move on.
