I'm trying to plan a trip to Vegas for the first week in January. Where is the best place to stay if I don't want to pay a ton? Also, what types of deals could I get for poker room rates?(how many hours would I have to play?) Going with a friend who doesn't play poker, so what do you suggest while I'm down there? Thanks.

Anyone know the types of deals that are offered? Obviously I can call all the hotels and casinos, but just curious if anyone with Vegas experience could give me any good leads. I'd be willing to put in the hours for a poker room rate. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I went to vegas for the first time over the summer. stayed at the mirage. The room was one of the most swanky I have ever stayed in. but something i learned was that they are all about the same with the lights off. Im going back in feb and I am going to stay at the orleans.
