Live game $1/2 blinds, $200 max buy
3 limps to me and I make it $12 w/ A /images/graemlins/club.gifA /images/graemlins/diamond.gif. LP caller, 2 limpers call. Approx $50 pot.
Flop: 7 /images/graemlins/spade.gif7 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif9 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif Checked to me, I bet $40, folded back to EP who calls. Aprrox $130 pot
Turn: Q /images/graemlins/club.gif EP checks w/ about $90 left, I have him covered.
Now normally I would have moved in right here but I attended the WCCP seminar earlier in the day and one of Mike Caro's pieces of advice was that you should never move all in to protect your hand if you can sell it for a lesser price. So I go ahead and bet $60 knowing that if this player is on a draw he still isnt getting the proper odds to chase, and that if he has a one pair hand he will be more likely to call a $60 bet than an all in bet.
Is this the correct line of thinking? Does Caro's advice apply here? Thanks in advance.
