what are good bb rates on 1/2 6 Max.

Mine is really high due to variance. No way the current is normal.

I would imagine that 4 or 5BB/100 wouldn't be out of the question with good play and good table selection. 2-3BB/100 is reasonable for 5/10, and I have to believe that you can get another BB or two out of the incredibly loose/passive play on many of the 1/2 tables.

I'm currently at 2.68/100 with about 12k hands. I'm sure higher rates are possible but I'm just learning.

I would think the ceiling was near 4BB/100 due to the fact that at Party $1/$2 you are having to SD the best hand, and the passive nature of your opponents means extracting extra bets is not so simple. This level is mostly about value-betting them to death and putting up with tedious suckouts. That said, there are more aggro tables and players which can be exploited. It really is NOT a case of "ah, the players are worse so I can extract more. You have to counter this with the need to have the best hand at SD, and then you are left with "how many extra bets can I get when ahead" (problem: they are passive, but they do call too much) and "how can I judge when I am behind" (problem: you are often not behind until the River, and they call down too much with better hands).

I would say a win rate of 2-3 BB/100 on Party $1/$2 is great. Any higher than this over an extended period of time and you should not be playing this limit, and are losing money.

Interesting question. The Party/Empire $1/2 is very profitable. My question relates to how many hands. At what point do you believe your BB/100? 5K, 10k, 20k??

I am doing very well - but would like to solidify my bankroll prior to moving to the $5/10 sharks. So how many hands at $1/2

The gurus tell us that win-rate is very slow to fall into line. 50,000 hands you might have a decent idea of your winrate. 100,000 for any real accuracy. But by then your play and the limit you play have changed. Which means we can never really now our current winrate.

I'd just pump my bankroll until it is oversize for 5/10 ... well over 300 BB. And I'd get experience at 2/4 and 3/6 6-max on Stars, Paradise, or UB before moving to 5/10 6-max.
