View Full Version : Utson Multi Level Vs other Counts

I have posted this question on many bj boards and keep finding the same reponse. My question basically was how was the Utson vs the wong hi low. But then with more and more research. I found out that the Utson basically has an edge in all 3 ratings, over any count. The only Draw back people say is that the Utson is hard to keep running in the heat of casino play. But with the edges it gives you. Isn't worth the time and effort to nail it? Plus almost everyone I have talked would agree that utson is really supreme in single deck games. Thus you wouldn't have to worry about learning different counts. So baically I would like some reponses on what you guys think of the utson vs other counts, and other than being ease of use. Can anyone give me any other reasons to go with a different count, rather than Utson's. Thanks.

The answer is that unless you are playing in deeply dealt single deck games you should expect to get about the same results with Uston APC as with Wong High-Low.

In Uston's book, he cites play in Atlantic City where his APC did much better. But it turned out they were betting so much that the difference is explained by the large standard deviation, not by the count.

I think the ease of use is a factor you should consider. If you want to use a multi-level system, then I would recommend Omega II. It is a two level system, whereas, Uston APC is three level. Both require a side count of aces. Omega II actually rated higher overall. See the web site evaluation of most of the systems at the URL I have attached.
