After looking at a lot of my recent hands, I think I might be pushing big pairs too hard. Here are 2 QQ hands I got tonight -- looking for feedback.

hand 1 looks good, hand 2, i cap the flop and depending on a read, check/fold the turn.

I think hand 1 is fine, but I'd consider checking the river - what the hell is he calling with? I'd be thinking one of those "he only calls if I'm beat" situations...but then again, looking at it again, I'm thinking JJ

Hand 2 Betting out is fine but I'd fold to the flop raise. What hands do you beat that you believe he would 3-bet pre-flop and raise the flop? AQ? AJ? TT? Really? Do you think so? I think the chances that you're behind and drawing to MAYBE 3 outs if you count the backdoor straight draw make this an easy fold.

...But that's just me

you don't wanna make a habit of betting out and the folding to a raise, but it's probably ok here.

I don't mind directly calling hand 2 down without a read. The way you played it, I think folding the turn unimproved (Q, T and 9 look like good cards) is the way to go.

Hand 1 looks alright, hand 2 I call the flop raise and check/fold the turn unimproved.
