Hi,
I have not played draw poker for many years, but this weekend i am going to participate in a tournament (many weak players and as couple of good players). I have a question about playing smaller pairs and when to hold a big kicker.
I suppose that (as in hold'em) you should only play small pairs when you are fairly sure to get high pot odds. That is in late position when many have called/limped.
My question is (in general) when should you keep a high kicker (ace/king) and have low your pair should be to keep a kicker. To be concrete lets suppose two different situations:
1. 3 persons have limped and you are last to act.
2. 1 person had bet and 4 persons have called.
In both cases everybody change 3 cards.
all comments appreciated.
