This guy had loose pre flop requirments, but I didn't
see a re raise on the flop after 3 hours of play at this
table.

I figured he had to have at least an ace if not a set.
I called down hoping he was on a QQ betting frenzy.

I really can't see how you're ahead here..there was a good chance you were ahead on the flop, but once the turn hit I think you might be behind..the pot's huge now though, I play it the same way you did.
