You realize that you're talking about a notoriously private club on a public internet forum, right?

Who cares, people talk about those clubs all the time here.

Some clubs are very public (i.e. the post on craigslist, they have a website), some are not--this one is not.

I think you can get some game all the time, maybe not the aprticular one you're looking for.

As for mentioning PS, I see no problem with it as long as no one mentions location etc.

I think referring to "PS" should be default.

I prefer The Club That Shall Not Be Named, but to each his own.

Be circumspect when referring to it, as they're pretty careful about new members and privacy. The rest of the clubs don't seem to give a shiznit.

I think their policy is the sacrifice of the first born son, and proof of B+ blood type. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

In short... no matter how much PS is discussed here, if your not a member it's going to be pretty hard becoming one.

Is this sort of "place", kinda like the "place" in rounders? Like that sorta deal.

Im not sure if they still have this deal but i was able to trade my used PS2 for a new xbox straight up at electronic boutique. I would highly reccomend it. Having 2 xboxs is so nice.

PS2 (on 23rd street) is closed for the winter, so I guess I cannot trade it in /images/graemlins/wink.gif

My friend wanted to go there one night and I didn't feel like going, he was/is not a member. I told him to just go there and say he was me (no one who works there knows who the hell I am, I've been there about 5 times and I'm quiet).
So he did that and they let him right in.

In conclusion, its pretty easy to BS your way in.

I am going to check it out next week, a friend of mine is a member. Sounds like good action, I ran into a neighbor (whom I have never met) on Pokerstars and said their tourneys are o.k. but the rebuys are crazy. I was just looking for a ring game, anyone know what stakes they typically play and if they have NL ring games?

Evan

there's a regular 4/8 limit game and a 5/10 PL game. There are probably other games too, but those are the ones I know of.

10/20 goes all the time. A couple times a week it's half kill. There are also weekly rotation and O8 games.

the 5-5 PL has either been very short or not going last few times I've been. they always have at least 2 tables of 1/2 NL with either a 500 or 1k max buyin though.

This is what makes the tournaments good for good players, in the long run, blah blah blah.
