Browsed trough my copy and came across this hand, Example 13 on turnplay in SSHE page 295.

You have J5o and flops top pair flushdraw is on the board. you bet it out and get raised by late position. you call. in the book they suggests you should check/fold this hand. isn't that a bit weak? betting out and folding to a raise sounds better imo. The raiser could be playing a flushdraw strongly.

The problem here is that if we are ahead, our opponents will draw out on us fairly frequently while if we are behind, we will draw out infrequently. It is just too likely that our opponent has us outkicked and we are drawing to 3 outs. If he is on a flush draw, he probably has 12 outs (assuming he has an overcard). As a bonus, he could have just picked up a straight draw and have 3 or 6 more outs than that (or a straight which has us drawing dead).

The pot is small; choose another pot to fight over.
