With nine players in, there's a good chance there's a 5 out there somewhere. Even if there isn't, you have to worry someone has a flush draw that will end up beating you, even if you do catch a pair. You could also end up losing to a straight.

You have no pair (except the one on the board) and no backdoor draws. You're probably behind, maybe hopelessly so, and you have to worry about losing on the river even if you do pull ahead on the turn.
