I think that guys site allvegaspoker.com has a review on this room. It is open and has mostly low limits with a no limit game or 2.

Hi,

I played no-limit there on Oct. 27th for 6 hours and on Nov.1st for 10 hours. I had a great time playing there both visits.

I think you might like it.

Best Wishes

Did you know the Aladin was bought out, and is being converted into a Planet Hollywood?

Yea, It's being converted to Planet Hollywood Hotel & Casino in 2006.

Played there again this morning. Games were great when I was there.

Best of Luck

Thanks for the info. That website is great. I'll probably sit 1-2 NL. Hope the games are nice and juicy. Yeah for some reason the Aladdin could never get it going, always ran into financial problems. Planet Hollywood buys them out and immediately gets an immensely hot chick to open up her own club inside the hotel. Pretty savy.

Howard,

Thanks for all the great information on Vegas poker rooms on your website.

Do you happen to know whether Aladdin has a poker room rate?

That's what happens when you go bankrupt months after opening the doors. Maybe the new theme will attract more slot players and pay down some junk bonds!!!

yeah, they must be doing something wrong over there. The Alladin is a really nice hotel - plus they get a ton of foot traffic with the desert passage mall thingy and IDEAL strip location as it's pretty much mid-strip and right across from the Bellagio. Their rates seem to be pretty good as well so I can't figure out why they can't make money but Bally's which is a close neighbor and not as nice of a place with a much smaller casino seems to make money?

Originally built in '66. Blew it up in 98 and rebuilt. Same problems as always, must be the management or financial backers. Not sure, but the "Aladdin" name has had problems for awhile. But from what I've seen on the internet it looks beautiful and I can hardly wait to stay there next weekend.

I don't think there is a 12pm tournament yet. The Aladdin poker room manager told me that daily tournaments would be offered at 1pm and 8pm (monday through thursday), but the tournaments are not approved yet by the overall casino management. The tournaments *should* be offered within 2 weeks.

It opened on Oct 25th. 12 table room, no smoking. Various texas holdem limit games from 2/4 to 15/30 (if there are enough players). Also, two NLHE games: $40min/$100 max buy-in $1/$2 blinds -- and $2/$5 blind No Limit with $100 minimum and $300 maximum buy-in.

I will visit the room this weekend. Pictures should be online by Monday.

Thanks, I had binions start time in my head. I did mean the 1pm tourney. Was thinking of going to Vegas over Thanksgiving and hitting that tourney, hopefully it is available by then.

Great site btw, thanks for all the info.

It's an excellent room. Since it opened, the games have been very juicy, mostly tourists. This is particularly true for the 1-2 no limit game and the 4-8 games.

They will spread anything they can get enough players for, so it doesn't hurt to ask the floorman to start an interest list, particularly on a busy weekend night.

It's much easier if you are just visiting and showing up in a car to valet than park in self-parking. The parking is one of the things they are going to change in the next year.
