This is merely a bad beat. I've seen people go allin with much worse on PP. The most common is flush draws--and often they hit.

Allin with AJ is very common on PP, even on the first hand.

About 2 months ago. Party SNG. 3 left. All 3 of us get all-in before the flop. Hands are AA, KK, QQ. Q on the flop, K on the turn and an Ace on the river. Kid you not.

Heheh, I haven't been here that long, but I know a blatant bad beat post when I see it. Someone wanna call the bad beat police?

In the pantheon of unlikely bad beats, KK getting cracked by JJ or QQ isn't even that high up there. Get your cowboys cracked by 27o and I'll give you a shoulder to cry on.

What if I get beat with someone who only has one card, a 2?

Yeah, my version of this was even just a tad worse. PP Limit SnG, about 6 months ago. Five players saw the flop: AA, KK (me), KK (yes, another KK), QQ, AXs. Needless to say, there was mass carnage (every betting round capped until the shorter stacks were all in), and of course, the AXs schmuck made his flush and took a commanding chip lead.

Yet another action hand, brought to you by the good folks at Party Poker.

Seriously...nobody cares. Everybody, I'm sure, has taken worse beats. What happened to the great post about ignoring these posts (myself included I guess, whoops) =]

Thanks, Chief. Made my day.

Bad beat or not, it was a pretty unusual hand.

Yes this is a bad beat post, but it's also a bad play post.

Not saying the guy with JJ would have been smart enough to get out of the way, but you got way to fancy with your KK.

You went for the limp-reraise which is fine from your EP.

But you only re-raised to 600 with a raise and a call at 175.

You left room for either of them to re-raise you, or pot ods to call with many hands. I think you should have pushed all in after the raise to 175 and call.

Like I say- might not have made a difference, but I would like the aggression.

Seriously, it wasn't intended to be a bad beat story. It was a "weird how four players in the same hand each had one of the top three starting hands in holdem and none of them won the pot" story, and a "I've never seen that kind of hand before or since" story. Sorry to have wasted your time.
