Very confusing hand, it sure looks like someone hit their straight... but only kind of. I'm not giving credit for TT without a PF raise.

I don't think I could lay off capping the turn, either, I think you'll see 2-pair here more than a straight, or an overplayed AT.

You've got the third nuts on the river, bet.

Actually I think he has the sixth nuts. /images/graemlins/smile.gif But I agree, bet.

Yes, yes, I suppose 87, T8, and 85 are possible... :P

Did you aim for C/R on the river or why didn't you bet? I would have bet the river with intent of re-raising. You certainly can't be afraid of quad 8s because both opponents should have folded on the flop when you and MP3 raised and capped. UTG + MP3 have shown aggression throughout, MP3 more so than UTG and are likely to at least call on the river even though I can't imagine the 8c having helped either one.

I can't quite put either opponent on hands that would make sense though due to the river check. If UTG made the straight on the turn then he should have bet the river. Neither one should have raised/3-bet the turn with a flush draw. AA, KK, QQ should have been raised preflop.

I wonder if somebody overplayed two-pair here.

No one has commented on the flop play, so I guess I'm wrong, but what are the reasons to go for the checkraise with a monster hand from first position? I would prefer the checkraise with a hand like AT, and just bet out with the set here, to make those Kx and Qx hands call...

Good point, as I didn't even notice that. This needs to be bet out, giving a free card here is horrible.

With no pre-flop raiser and a raggy flop, you can't be sure it's going to be bet behind you, so bet and hope for a raise.

T8, 88, 87, 85, TT, 4c 6c, 6c 9c, technically he has the 8th nuts, not to be nitpicky or anything hehe /images/graemlins/wink.gif

With any of these hands the opponent would bet on the river but neither opponent did.

If I have the poor taste to start the nitpicking I guess I have to take this in a good way. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

To me it looks like MP3 has T5 or T7 and just got his 2 pair counterfeited, and UTG+1 has a 6 and is worried about a boat. How close am I?

In any event, you definitiely need to bet this river.

I think your opponents caught their flushes/straights, but got worried with the board pairing, as it is more than likely that someone has a set with the action on the flop and turn. You definitely shouldn't of tried to get fancy going for a c/r. Bet out and reraise at every opportunity.
