View Full Version : System for remembering cards in Stud?

Hi,

I was wondering what system people use to remember the cards that are out in seven stud style games? And do you always have the folded card information at your fingertips throughout the play of a hand?

Thanks

Hello, Mark

In a typical stud, there are 2 or 3 ranks that are folded on 3rd.

You don't need to remember the other cards---they are in front of you on 3rd.

************************************************** ************************************************** ****************************** Make a mental note of those 2 or 3 cards. If you see more than 2 of a suit out, consider that suit "dead".

************************************************** **************

************************************************** ****************So far you have onl;y 3 cards to remember--at most.

************************************************** ****************Now take a quick glance of additional cards folded on 4th.

===Only an overall picture. There shouldn't be more than about 2or 3 more cards==depending on the "tightness" of the game.

If the field is making very few observational mistakes, find

another table---there is a high probability you will lose you money in the long run if you continue to play with this type of field.

Remember,it's not the game limit that will determine your success at the table. You need to make fewer mistakes,on the average, than the field. If the composite field makes fewer mistakes than you do,on the average, expect to lose your bankroll if you continue to go up against this opposition.
