What does the 'G' in LAG and TAG stand for?
I assume the LAG is LOOSE-AGGRESSIVE-G? Is that right. What else might I run into along these lines on this forum. Thanks

This is how these abreviations are commonly used now, but originally the "G" stood for "game," so LAG meant a game with mostly multiway pots and lots of preflop raising. Conversly, "P" stood for "player," so LAP and TAP stood for Loose-Aggressive Player and Tight-Aggressive Player.
The original way is better, because it distinguishes from certain types of games and players. With the new way, you just have to use the context of the sentence to determine whether the person is talking about a type of game or a type of player.
