Just wondering what everyone's favorite poker table drink is. (alcoholic or not)

I'd say my favorite is to sip on a glass of Glenlivet on the rocks. That drink always makes me feel like Mikey from Swingers, money baby.

despite my alcoholic tendencies, I really can't swollow the stuff that well without a chaser - except Mike's Hard Lemonade, which tastes great.

Coke, esp. fountain stuff, is the best...

You Vegas people and your free drinks...As much as I'd like a drink at the B&M, paying $4 for a metered drink pisses me off, so I stick with the free diet Coke (err, Pepsi).

Drinks are free at Foxwoods, too, if that makes you feel any worse /images/graemlins/tongue.gif I still always go for water or diet coke, though.

Jack & Coke

I loved the lower limits in Vegas though. We were doing shots of Jager at the tables and LAGing it up.

I have to agree with Jack & Coke.

I also like Amaretto Sours. (less alcohol but tastes great)

Water only. I NEVER drink while playing poker. I especially like it though when other people at the table are calling for the cocktail waitress every 5 minutes. It's great playing poker with people who are smashed.

alcoholic: maker's mark on the rocks.
nonalcoholic: lemondae and/or coffee.

Ditto that. Sorry to hear alcohol's not free in MN; definite -EV. I might order a drink (Chivas rocks) at the right hour as soon as I sit down for image, or to calm me down if I feel edgy and might give a tell.

Anyone who'd pour a single malt over ice is a philistine and deserves to lose.

I'm a 55 year-old guy with a prostate the size of a cantaloupe...if I drink anything at the table, I'd never be able to play more than 3 hands without taking a break. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

- with a bunch of good players, good game: coffee and bottled water.
- with a bunch of rocks, rule freaks and scowlers: beer
- with a bunch of LAG, sunglass-wearin jammers: cool aid laced with peyote and mescalin, on ice, with a twist.

Bottled water or juice.

Playing live, a whiskey sour or a corona. I play live rarely so I treat it like a night out rather tha a serious attempt to win money. Otherwise, tea. Playing online I don't drink alcohol, as I take it seriously.

I concur; but Chivas is a blend, not a single malt.

Actually, I meant to respond to the guy who said he liked to ruin his Glenlivet, which is a single malt (albeit not a great one).

Late in the night - Jameson's on the rocks.
Other times - water

If I'm done playing, and at home, pick one of:

Shot of 16 yr Lagavulin, neat
Shot of Johnnie Walker Blue, neat
Shot of 18 yr Macallan, neat

(in no particular order of preference).

If I just finished playing at a B&M, one of:

Frozen sissy drink
Espresso with a shot of Ouzo

Its pretty good, kind of tastes like artichokes for some reason, plus it might give you some kind zen table image.

This is one of my pet peeves!!!! I am a diabetic so when I am at the tables, I order Diet Cokes(no sugar) to drink. Well at my local B&M the cocktail waitresses use Maraschinos cherries to identify the Diet Cokes from the Classic Cokes. What is the point of ordering a Diet Coke if it comes with sugar coated cherries in it???? Here is a clue, how about put a straw in mine, I don't care if it is a crazy pink one with 4 loops as long as it is not cherries!!!

OK, let me get back down from the soap box.

That'd be my choice. $20 a pop at the Mirage though, so I just get the free drinks at the casino's and save the good stuff for home as well.

Usually I just drink whatever beer they have, mostly because I play low limits and assume they wouldn't give me some Jameson and I don't want to invest the time to find out

Last time at the Excalibur it was probably -20 degrees in there and my girlfriend ordered a hot chocolate. Soon half the table was drinking them -- something to keep in mind if you're cold blooded.
