Oh wow, you are the one and only chiefhead. You are one of the few people I recognize from a lot of empire tourneys. I am @ 1260 right now.

700 at the break, went into free fall with some bad matchups and bad plays. Still hanging around though.

Im out. My pocket queens vs 9 7. Yes I did raise preflop. Yes he did cold call. Yes he did hit two other 7's on the flop that I didnt put him on, and Im out. If only an A or K came on the flop, I'd still have my stack.

Well I am out in 216.

Flop came 489, 3 players see action, I have A9. I check, followed by another check, then 200 bet by preflop raiser. (I was in BB preflop). I push for 540, 3rd player folds, raiser calls with AT, turn: T, river, no help. My night is over.

Finished #175.

What do people think of gambling here on the flop? I'm shortstacked and even money (for both turn and river combined) if I'm up against the most likely holding of a pair of aces from my opponent.

The turn is a no-brainer as I'm getting 4-1 from the pot and only a 2-1 dog.

Also, the blinds are just about to increase to 50/100.

I think I fold on the flop. THe overbet of the pot looks like someone trying to make a flush call incorrect. If I thought there was any chance of getting him to fold, I would push here, but I don't think there is. On the turn it just gets uglier, because ur 4-1 against now.

If you don't like your chances of climbing back in then there is nothing wrong with gambling, but if your going to gamble you mightas well push, because he isn't going to pay you off if you hit.

Still running well, no big showdowns and no big hits at all. 1 interesting Ak vs AK hand, no blood, but I was pretty sure thats what he had, we chopped up teh blinds.

6 away from the money, I'm in about 33rd place (40 paid). KK and QQ this hour kept me ahead of the blinds. Sure like to see them now.

Blew off some crucial chips when I got a free play in the BB and flopped an open ender, made a stab at the pot but had to fold to a raise. Got real lucky when I pushed my last 2.5K in with K4s and got called in the BB with TT, hit my K on the river. FOlded into the money without ever seeing a hand. Pushed with AJ after hitting the money and called by AQ. TIme to go to work.

considering I was at T1450 with 46 left, I'm not complaining.

See ya next week.

Still going...

Pulled a stop and go with KK. Could've (and probably should've) reraised all-in, but worried about an Ace flopping.

Chip leader insta-folded after I pushed on the flop (Q high).

8 left... tough field... no one's folding to advance...

Yep, just talking to myself here.

On break...

I was sitting pretty, then got severely crippled with 77.

I'm BB and SB has constantly been raising me. It's folded to him and as expected, he goes all in. I easily call.

He has K2o.

I'm licking my chops at the flop 10 4 A...

and turn A...

and aghast at the river 10!!

Ugh, I could've taken him out, instead I doubled him up with my bad luck.

I'm hurting at this point and expect to go out soon.

Chat with myself later!

That was fast...

Got my nemesis 77 again first hand after the break.

Raised all in, got called by shortstack who had 99. Chip leader is still in, and I'm hoping he doesn't call. Then when I see shortstack has 99, I'm hoping chip leader DID call (an Ace fell).

I was left with scraps and was swept up by the blinds to go out in 6th.

Next week!

am quite curious to hear who won it. my younger brother told me he played a big tourney there last night and won it. was wondering if he told the truth....his name on there is either checknraise or checkand raise.

Matt24

that name seems familiar when i looked at who was left when there was like 35 left.

I didn't stick around long enough to see who won (and don't have Empire handy to open and check), but your brother was directly to my left at the final table and played a good game when he was 2nd shortest stack.

If I remember correctly, he also offered some consolation to my 77 beat against K2o and no King.

Tell him that I never stole his blinds; I really had something when I raised all-in from SB.

I'm sorry to hear that you lost to him to tell you the truth. My brother is a real a-hole in real life and I figured he probably would be online too.
