I'm unsure as to the motivation for asking this question.

Are you asking, "Are they going to release a new edition soon such that I should hold off buying the present one?" I don't know the answer to this question, but I would suspect not.

Or, are you asking, "The 7 Stud book currently seems outdated to me, when will it be brought into line with stud as it is currently played?" If this is the question I would disagree with its premise. I believe it's a strong book that is applicable to today's stud games.

I don't mean to put words in your mouth, I just want to make sure I answer your question, since nobody else has.
