So on Xmas eve when i was little I used to blow my change on a nickel dime 7 card stud game. WHen I got to college I had one night of a tough lesson at 1/4 1/2.

Now I run a 4 week 25 buy-in NL Freeze out game that I have been fairly successful at. Winning 1st once and 2nd once out of 5 games with 15-25 people.

I bought SSH for fun when I started going to AC with my father in law. Both times I played for 8 hours straight and gobbled down a dog on the run back to the bus. Both times I bought in for $100 playing 2/4 winning $140 and $180.

One of the guys that i play with suggested Party Poker and I joined for my birthday. In 5 days I won 471 and got 100 bonus. Then the losses hit. I lost like 200 in 2 days I thought playing well.

I read these forums looking for grace, and found poker tracker. I dropped down to playing .5/1 till i get my roll a little higher.

I am Mr.Mom. I watch my 15 month old daughter. I work part time mornings and weekend days. My wife works full time.

Ok OK Ok here is the question. I noticed in the conclusion of SSH that their goal is to have the readers make 50,000 a year playing 3/6. Now bank roll questions aside. How should we aim at this target?

Personally I was shooting at 15000 a year winning $50 a day playing 300 days a year. I figured i would drop to 2/4, but i seen the light that about bankroll.

Can anyone give me a plan to hit this target?

Thanks

Christy

Play 1000 hands a day of 1-2 LHE (4-5 hours of 4-tabling per day), you will overshoot your target (15K) by a wide margin. Even more if you take advantage of bonuses/reloads. Also get a rakeback deal to get extra $.

Even if you don't move up, you'll overshoot your target.

If you do the same at 3-6, $50K is very feasible. Do get the rakeback deal going. Did I say that already?.

One last thing: Get a rakeback deal going.

I also strongly reccomend you get a rake back deal.

this is all assuming solid play and a sustainable winrate. If that is the case, your goal should be easy to reach, especially in the "mr. mom" scenario. but i'd still concentrate on poker, if you just try to play your best, learn more, and put in hours, winning happens along the way. don't focus on making $x/day or whatever.

good luck

I was ignorant about rakeback deals and hastily made an account on Party, and now it's too late. /images/graemlins/frown.gif

I play at least 20 hours a week of 1/2, 2/4 and 3/6 (multitabling). How much money do you think I could be getting back with the rakeback?

About $1.60 per table-hour at 2-4.

I.e.: If you play 4 tables for 80 hours a month, your rake-back is about $1.60x4x80 =~$517. (Assuming a 25% rakeback rate).
