At my local B&M 6/12 is often the highest limit spread, however lately 10/20 has been spread as well. There is a player who is a regular in both games (he plays whichever is the highest available at the casino). He plays too loose preflop but he is a pretty solid post flop player. Now here is the interesting part. When it is heads up with you he will check it down with you. I have noticed that those that bet into him often become the target of moves by him later in the game as he can play fairly tricky.

Now my question is, how should I deal with him? Should I check it down with him where I am ahead just as often as he is ahead? Also, I have reason to believe that he folded a winner that would have sucked out on my aces when I checked the turn and the river since it was heads up after the flop. So what is everyone's opinions? Is checking it down with him +EV or -EV?

Edit: Another little funny thing I thought Id add, is although he will check it down whenever heads up, he refuses to ever chop heh.

Are you telling us that people are actually afraid of this player because he will make some magical play against them at a later point? Um, that's poker bub. Play the game, play the man, take the man's chips and go home.

Well it depends. If you think he's a better player and has an edge on you, fine...check it down.

If you're better than him, don't check it down.

It's really taht simple. And retarded.
