I personally don't like him, but I was rather pleased to hear him say this:

"While I am a Bush supporter, and I did vote for him with an absentee ballot, speaking as I did the other day was wrong. While I hope to see him re-elected, it's not my place, nor the time for me to offer up my political opinions unsolicited," the e-mail read.

He said this a day or so after he said in an interview that he was voting and supporting Bush. Good save Curt /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Personally, I don't think I can say whether I like him or dislike him because as a public figure we only see snapshots of the man.

But as an athlete, I have total respect for the man. Even before the bloody sock saga he was the player that brought toughness and a winner's mentality to the Sox. I think it was him more than anyone else that brought the intangibles that lead to the sox finally winning it all.
