A Couple of Hands For Review

Hello,

After another bad day at the poker tables(30BB which pushes my downswing to 230BB )I have a couple of hands I would like to review.
Hand 1:
Hero is in MP with A /images/graemlins/spade.gif A /images/graemlins/club.gif

One limper, Hero Raises, MP+1 cold calls as does the limper.

Flop: 8 /images/graemlins/spade.gif 8 /images/graemlins/heart.gif 5 /images/graemlins/spade.gif
Limper checks, Hero bets, MP+1 raises, limper folds, Hero 3-bets, MP+1 calls,

Turn: 9 /images/graemlins/spade.gif
Hero bets, MP+1 raises, Hero calls

River: 9 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif
Hero checks, MP+1 Bets, Hero calls
Results in white:

Hand 2:

Hero is UTG+1 with 10 /images/graemlins/spade.gif 10 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif

UTG folds, Hero raises, everyone folds to CO who calls, button calls as does small and big blind,

Flop: 4 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif Q /images/graemlins/club.gif 3 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif

SB bets, BB calls, Hero raises, button calls,

Turn: 2 /images/graemlins/club.gif

SB bets, BB calls, Hero folds, button folds,

River: 2 /images/graemlins/spade.gif

SB bets, BB calls,

Results Below:

Comments: I probably should have slowed down on the turn on hand 1. However I put MP+1 on an overpair such as Tens or Jacks.

True. What I meant though was I probably should have checked the turn. Thoughts/coments?

You're probably best folding this against a bettor and a few callers.

You probably have 2 outs... but you know that.

I know what you meant. I think you played it well though.

Basically test the waters to see if the dude's got a flush... if he does he'll raise, unless he's a 2+2er. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Thanks for the response. This latest downswings is very discouraging,(especially after winning 3.59/100 @ .50/1 and 3+/100 for my first 5000 thousand or so hands at 1/2) so I am reviewing my play to see if I can find any leaks. Any other comments/criticisms are more than welcomed. See you at the tables.
