It's Kerry

Why? Because Bush appeals to the uninformed.

Maybe the Republicans will nominate Earnhardt Jr. in 2008.

[/ QUOTE ]Actually I saw a small poll of mensa members a few years back (not sure how valid it was), and most of them favored Libertarians.

Hopefully after Bush goes down the Republican Party will move towards the Libertarian position so I can have an actual choice to make during the elections. But maybe the social conservatives won't let them do that ...

If the democrats put up someone who I felt would protect this country, I would vote either for him, or the lib candidate. Living in a close (but not toss-up) state, I cannot risk kerry being elected, and have no choice but to vote for the lesser of two evils (because although still evil, it is less evil.)

Kurn, you know I am with you on this one, but I would wager there is a fairly large contingent of very intelligent totalitarianists out there. Why? Because they are so much smarter than everyone, they should set all the rules so that those who are not as gifted as them can benefit.

Why do you think that so many college campuses are filled with socialists?

I didn't think Klingons voted.

I voted for Browne last time, and then sweated it out all night hoping Gore wouldn't win Nevada. Can't do that again and I voted for Bush. Nice to see the LP getting some airtime here though. Perhaps one day their time will come.

If they live in a swing state, they would certainly not be smart to throw their vote away and possibly end up with the big Tax Raiser as President.

I think they are smart, so they will vote for me.

I disagree. Third party votes make a louder statement to the nation than major party votes. Ralph Nader single handedly pulled the entire Democratic party to the left by skimming just a few thousand votes off of Al Gore. Those votes told the country, "We're not voting for Al Gore and here's why," and the Democratic party was forced to take notice. Those few votes for Nader, especially those in swing states, did more to alter the political landscape than any individual votes for Bush or Gore.
