He is "a former restaurant manager". Hmmm, ate all the profits I guess /images/graemlins/grin.gif

I hate to be crass, but at what point does someone say "I think I need help?" Way before 1000 pounds I would think. Sorry but I don't feel sorry for him. He should have gone for help way before that.

i am 6' and weigh 225. i think that is a bit overweight but i play sports almost daily and work out a lot. i tend to eat poorly because of the schedule of my days and i have made it a goal to get down to 190.

As a fat person, his body probably started telling him that he needed help about 750lbs ago.

The guy has pretty much been big his whole life too. The article says he was 90 lbs in kindergarten. I think I was 40 lbs or something like that in kindergarten.

I would say, if you've waited till you can't move unassisted, you've waited too long.

At that point, you probably can't even work anymore. And what are you going to do, just sit and crap yourself? I'd rather skip the doritos and at least be able to shower and sh** without any problems.

Marge: Hi. Erm, there's something I've been meaning to ask you. Did you put on a little weight this week?

Homer: I was going to surprise you, but what the heck: honey, I'm purposely gaining 61 pounds to get on disability!

Marge: [gasps] Have you lost your mind? Have you thought about your health...or your appearance?

Homer: Oh. So that's it, isn't it, Marge? Looks. I didn't know you were so shallow.

Marge: Oh, please. I would love you if you weighed 1000 pounds, but --

Homer: Beautiful. Good night.
