I am interested to hear who the best NL players on two plus two are. I am taking a couple days off from playing to read/learn about the game. I would like to know who some of the best NL players on this forum are so I can search out and read a lot of their posts. I have an idea on some but am curious to see what the majority is. Thanks.

tommy, although you'll have to dig deep in the archives to find him posting about it.

hey snowbank, if you could post links to some of the better threads you find by fossilman or tommy that would be cool.

Raymer’s posts are probably best to go thru and read. His posts are always clear, concise and have the thinking laid out behind it, which is critical. His archives posts are awesome too. He focuses more on tourneys, but has some big bet stuff too, particularly earlier.

Natedogg has some great posts in the archives. Tommy Angelo too, those his are much more geared around specific hands and his play in them, rather than pulling that a step back to generalized principles.

I also like reading posts by TheGrifter, Wayfare, & Zag. My sense is they don’t play at $ levels as high as MattFlynn/ML4L/Diablo/RayZee etc. who all have excellent posts, (and winning play at the highest $ levels is what I’d define as best NL players), but they have frequent, lengthy, well thought-out posts, and sometimes great advice from people playing at $ levels closer to your own is better than advice from people playing very high levels since the game changes a lot when playing strong vs. average opponents.

How do I go about making a link? I would be glad to if someone can show me how.

I went through the archives a while ago, I wish I saved all the links just for my own reference that would be nice. Really, the more threads you link to from the archive the better. Also, poster "jen" doesn't post much but when she does she gets a lot of responses. Hopefully someone else can help you out with how to link to these.

under the part where you type in the text of your post, there's an "instant ubb code" box titled "URL". click on it.

I agree w/ most of the people listed already. I just wanted to re-emphasize how great and underrated a contributor natedogg used to be to this forum. I'd definitely put his posts right up there w/ Zee, Flynn, and limon. And Raymer too, I just don't remember him posting all that much re: cash games. A lot of you probably never got to see his posts. Go read them. They'll make you smarter.

I agree about natedogg, especially in the old "high stakes" forum archives his posts are gold. he has a very direct way of saying things that always seems to cut to the chase.

Hold on here just a moment! I think you had a little misunderstanding with the movie. Watch it again and it will all become clear... I hope.
