Kidman defends bath scene with boy, 10 (http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2004/10/27/1098667806586.html?oneclick=true)

A scene in which Kidman and the boy (played by Cameron Bright) share a bathtub, caused a hubbub and drew boos when Birth was screened at the Venice Film Festival.

"I see this as a beautiful film about love, I do not see it as something that is exploitive or distasteful," the 37-year-old actress told AP Television News. "I would never want to make something like that; it's just not my thing.

That kid must have made all the right moves to have a bath with Nicole. From my experience, this is nothing unusual for her. In this situation, her bath-mate is about the same size as myself, but he is just a little smarter.

That was never my thing anyway. Rub-a-dub-dub, Three-men-in-a-tub is more to my liking.

Anybody who boos nicole kidman taking a bath, would definitely enjoy seeing 3 men in a tub.

I think I speak for 10 year olds everywhere when I say,

"Do you see a problem ?? I don't see a problem"

See, that was Michael Jackson's mistake. He should have filmed his "scenes" with his little boy friends and called it "art" and everybody would have said "That Michael, he be a musical AND artistic genius"... /images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Tom Cruise is about the height of a 10-year-old. She probably just thought it was him.

Did that kid win some sort of a contest off the back of a cereal box?

And what cereal was it? Hopefully not Grape Nuts - I hate Grape Nuts.

I call that cereal "Grape Rocks". Why would you ever eat it a second time?

Saturday Night Live used to do a commercial about it, plugging it as the cereal that's "mined, not harvested."

I just saw Nicole Kidman on Entertainment tonight where they were asking her about the scene and after they talked about it a while she strayed off the topic and said how her co-star met her real life son and the "got off" very well. Strange choice of words.

"Quarry" was one of the best SNL commercials ever...not as good as the dishwasher-safe "Lung Brush", nor the "Happy Fun Ball", nor the "I wanna be a Ho" commercials.

heck, now that i think about it, there's plenty that were better than "Quarry", but it was still funny.

Is SNL even still on?

There was one for a cologne - take off on the Calvin Klein "Obsession" campaign - Christ, someone remind me the name of the SNL product, anyway that one kicked ass.

Compulsion, I believe.

Super Happy Fun Ball was the best one, hands down.

Would there be a different reaction if this were the case? I think so. If you want to see Nicole Kidman nude there is a nice variety of films to choose from. I don't think this one needed to be added to the list. Seems plain sick to me.

it's a movie. Get over it.

next, you're going to want to ban "Lolita."
