For the $500 buyin tourney this Sunday, it says registration starts at 7am for 10am start. What time do you think I should get there by? 7am? 6am? 8am?

I have to drive a few hours, so later the better. How many people do you think will play? What will be the prize for #1 , ballpark?

If you call the poker host, they can probably help. The big question is whether the field is capped. If it is capped, then make sure you get there as close to 7 am as possible. If not, you shouldnt have much problem. I have seen some tourneys at foxwoods (capped at 250) that fill up within 30 mins of registration.

I actually trust the people on here vs. poker host. Anyone know from experience?

I called in and the host said to be there at 7am to be sure. So I was there along with 80 or so people. It took about 15 minutes to register. The line was EMPTY at 8am. I heard one guy who registered 20 minutes before the 10am start. So my suggestion is to come at 8am.

I finished 83rd or 84th out of 853. Top 80 pays. Oh well.

Yeah, when i called in they said it would probably be capped by 8 so I left Boston at 530 just to be safe. Well, I clearly could have slept for at least 2 more hours and been fine. They were accepting registrations right at 10am. I came back from a short stack in the 1st 3 levels and ended up finishing in 53rd for $1371. Sat next to Kathy Liebert for about 2 levels and she was very nice. (could've busted her but she won the 55/45 when she hit an Ace on the flop) It was fun but you don't need to show up early...what you do need is a good nights sleep. when i busted it was 10pm so we had already played for 12 hours. i don't know when it finished but i would expect it was close to 4. Good luck to all in future events.
