The first thing that caught my eye was a 10k PLO event.

This one grabbed my eye, too. Heh, at least it didn't say 10k PLO w/ re-buys...

Of course they couldn't have pushed it back to August. Oh well I guess 2006 works out fine. If the tournament dates stay the same next year, I'll have no chance to become the yongest ever braclet winner(not that there was much of a chance anyway). I'll freaking be almost 22. Oh well.

Players will earn points based on their performance in the circuit tournaments and the World Series of Poker. The top 100 point-earners will receive a free invitation to the 2005 World Series of Poker Tournament of Champions, where a single winner will take home a top prize of $2 million.

Yes. This event has been in the WSOP as long as I can remember.

Even more interesting when you compare these dates to events already on the calendar. There is a significant overlap with something for almost all of them. Of course, nowadays, I guess it's tough to not overlap with something. I know I'll be missing the first half of almost all 5 of these WSOP circuit tourney series.

By far the game w/the most skill, if you discount the bankroll req's for the 5K rebuys, of course. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Does anyone know what kind of numbers are expected in the 1,500 and 2,000 NL hold em events? Last year they had about 800 if I remember right

my biggest complaint is the elimination of HORSE/HOSE event which in my mind determine the most skillful player.

well....obviously 1 tourney doesn't determine the most skillful player.

however i think these tourneys are very tough and necessary part of the WSOP.
