theres an early 90's Red Hot Chili Peppers appearance that is absolutely atrocious. its also very apparent that they are loaded out of their minds on something heavy. they really look smacked out.

Great memory, and excellent choice.

I think most studio produced bands, Foo Fighters et al, always seem to sound terrible live, when you're used to the polished album versions of their songs.

I saw Foo Fighters at the Troubador in L.A. a few years ago and they ROCKED. One of the best live performances I've ever seen. I wasn't even that big of a fan of them, either.

Yeah, maybe it just doesn't translate well on TV when you see bands like that. I would imagine they'd be good live.
