View Full Version : Red Sox fans have already become obnoxious and arrogant

I was in Boston this past weekend and was amazed at how cocky Boston fans had already become. Sox fans were somewhat endearing when they were insecure, humbled and miserable. Now they are just like the typical smug, smarmy Yankee fan. I can't wait until the Sox blow their lead and their fans once again experience that feeling of getting kicked in the nuts.

I thought the exact same thing when I read the thread title.

I have been obnoxious and arroigant my whole life /images/graemlins/grin.gif

seriosly, what you have to consider is the majority of the "fans" you run into are just people who are jumping on the bandwagon, who by nature are just weak minded.

I heard somewhere that a team that takes a 2-0 lead wins the series about 77% of the time. Good reason to get cocky.

Is that a joke?

As of a week ago, if a team leads a series 3-0, they go on to win it 100% of the time.

If the Sox lose this series then it won't change the attitudes a bit.

I think the only way they all could relax is if the win finally, finally comes.

i think you mean they go on to lose it, but anyway, that's a small sample size /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

if you play 72o and the flop comes 772 the one time you played it, do you always play it from then on?

Actually, I meant that, as of one week ago, 100% of teams that have started a series 3-0 in MLB history have gone on to win that series... 5 days ago, however, that statistic changed.

Pssh, I don't play 72o... I'm not that bad!

EDIT: Thought there was an underline tag... Apparently I was wrong, hahah.
