Consistent with his good poker advice, JTG's assessment of the movie is dead on. The movie is a big disappointment. By the way, get Netflix and drop the PPV.

20 and below is generally abysmal

40 is like "most people will think it's bad, but if you're easy going or like the subject matter you probably won't think it was a waste of time"

60 is probably the most interesting area. movies like american psycho fall into it. your favorite movies could end up there, misunderstood. for general audience movies it usually means bad, and in the way where it's just good enough to annoy you more than a 40.

80 and up are pretty clear from the reviews. if you're the demographic for it, you should really like it.

Did you buy Bubba Ho-tep yet? You'll notice that it got an 80 on rottentomatoes while The Punisher got a 28.

Just watched Punisher. My roommate and I liked it. My roommate liked it alot.

If I was to recommend it to someone I would only recommend it to people who like comic book/pulp based movies, Desperado, Demolition Man, etc. If you don't like guns and violence you obviously won't like this movie at all. My roommate and I both liked the plot and it is much more complex than Commando or Rambo. There are some parts that aren't all that realistic, but nothing too bad especially when you take into context that the movie is based off of a comic book. If you can keep in mind that this is a comic book movie, I think you will like this, otherwise you probably will hate it.

I know there are alot of people that hate this movie, so if you are one of those, feel free to flame me, but I liked it.
