I'm in.
1st level- I flop bottom set, win against a guy who flopped the other two pair and someone slowplaying aces.
Time for me to start bleeding chips like I'm a Harlem Globetrotter in Jayson William's house.

I took a look at your table just about the time you lost that big pot to AA with your KQ. /images/graemlins/frown.gif

Just had an interesting hand come up at my table that included a bit of discussion. No HH, so sorry.

I'm in MP with AA. Blinds 25/50.

One limper to me and I make it 200. 4 callers. YIKES. Flop is KT7 (Two clubs). I bet 400 into an 875 pot, and no callers.

Afterwards someone started saying I played the aces weak, and should have bet 800 or so. I think you want some action from one person there, thus my bet of 400.

Opinions?

Will you fold to a turn check-raise if the third club comes off? Or if you check behind, do you fold the river to a big turn bet?

You are pricing in any flush draw, you have to bet at least 600 (IMO).

well

what would you have done if you had been raised big on the flop?

what would you do if someone flat called?

aces can be tricky to play on later streets early in a tournament. one way around that is to overbet preflop to the point of pot-committing yourself.

T1630 at the first break. Keeps getting river by worst hand. I think that I need to increase my flop/turn bets to stop the chasing (I usually bet from 50% to 100% of pot size on flop, 30% to 60% on turn)

10-24-2004, 05:38 PM
3370 at first break.

Hopefully i`ll get better cards from now on. I feel like i have been folding for almost an hour.

Oh well. I`m out.

JJ runs into QTo, and when i push with TT as a shortstack i meet KK.

Good luck to those still playing. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

have 8458 right now, lost one big pot so far, won all the other ones. I had TT on a 7 high flop and put the other guy all in for slightly more than the pot, he called w/ 2 overs and a flush draw. I turned a set, but it made his flush. Still in good shape though.

100/200(25) I am BB w/ K4o... try to fold to a 400 chips raise, and accidentally hit call button. flop is 478, I put him all in for 1400 after mentioning that I hit the wrong button. He calls w/ AQ and misses, I have 10,500.

MLG,
When I saw the original post for this thread I surfed the tourney seeing how everyone was doing, and I swear I remember seeing you down to 25 chips or something really low.

Is my memory faulty, or is this true?

Regards,
Woodguy

MLG
10-24-2004, 07:59 PM
you are correct, 25 chips with the blinds at 50-100. Dont I have insane poker skills?

What did you do to get back on track? Go all in with 53s? /images/graemlins/grin.gif

That is amazing!

Even if you don't win this thing, I want to see a trip report titled "A chip and a chair isn't just bullshit story"

AQ vs. AK = Out /images/graemlins/frown.gif

Alas the run has ended, out in 86th with A-Q v. A-K. My stack got whittled down, just got played back at all the times i had 67, instead of the times when I had 10s, or Ks. Last hand, I had around 55K, blinds at 3K/6K and I moved in UTG+1 with AQ. Biggest stack at the table has about 150K and thinks forever. I had pretty much persuaded myself that I was at worst a coinflip if he called. I was surprised, and more than a little displeased to see that AK. When the blinds go up that fast you gotta get lucky there's no way around it.
