In my opinion:

spikework
spambuster
rakkad
rndmstupidty
colson10

I'm just wondering how many of these guys are 2+2'ers? I only know the identity of one, the rest are a mystery to me.

If your name's on the list, I'd be interested to hear (you don't have to say which one you are)...

I do know at least one of them is a 2+2 reader, but is surprised to see his name on this list.

Don't know if many others will respond.

I tend to kinda loathe these lists, but there's people on both of the lists that have been posted that I know a v. good players.

Based on my Pokertracker data:

1000+ hands
3+BB/100 Hands
~25% VP$IP
~15% PFR%

I always thought Nemesis was too LAG to be 3+ bb/100.

Nemesis surely wins in that game but oh boy is he exploitable as hell. You can get so much action out of him when he has very, very little.

There's no way Nemesis is anywhere close to the top 10/20 6maxers.

He capped 3 streets with top two vs my set after I changed usernames. So ya, I agree. :\

The only people I've actually avoided at the tables:

OMGWTF
Papa
Spam

Oh, and Paluka/Aksawnd the few times they play.

I'd think that if you're looking at 3BB/100, you'll be missing a lot of good players.

Nemesis isn't the 2+2er by the same name is he? I've played with him a touch on 'Stars, and I've got to agree with the room on on this one. (although if he's playing 10/20, he may just have been goofing off at me at 2/4).

Schneids

NemesisXX in 10/20 6m is not the same Nemesis that posts here. I have no idea if the PStars one you're referencing is the same or not.

B Dids

The one on 'Stars is. This makes more sense.

I also know at least one person on this list who I believe would be shocked to find himself listed (and one who sure as hell wouldn't).

Hmm, that's strange. I consciously seek out Papa/OMGWTF's tables. He's such a rock that most of the time it's pretty much like having a dead blind on the table twice every lap. Just remember that once in a blue moon he will spring to life with a junk straight draw and cap it out of position headsup, get severely outplayed on the turn, then proceed to fill up on the river. Piiimpjuice!

TazQ

Also, I think there are only a handful of people who can beat the 10/20 at 3 BB/100 for over 500k hands. Especially considering the better players are 6-8 tabling.

I'd say the list is less than 10 people who currently play it as their main game.

random thread hijack: TazQ has the freakyist avator and geormeit are the one who I read a whole blog about your summer job exploits at poker because I thoroughly enjoyed it.

These criterion are horrible. With less than 20k hands, 3+BB/100 will be meaningless. Your other 2 stats are preflop stats that a trained monkey could be taught to follow.

I am on the second list. However I only switched to 10/20 6max from 15/30 full about 2 months ago. Numbers are ballbarkish for a 1-2k sample.

Oh yah, my notes on Nemesis is "makes retarded plays", anyone w/ that note can't fall into this category...

Good times,

Agreed... more than 1k hands?!? a few sessions makes them great?? I won 6.5 BB/100 my last session that was about 1200 hands, so i guess if you had happen to catch those hands from me I could be the best 6max player ever. PT stats are great for many reasons, but being able to easily identify the "toughest players" isn't one of them. I would guess that if you looked at my 2 names that i use on different skins, you'd think that one of them was much "tougher" using this criteria which should indicate how flawed this tactic is.

Being a good SH player is a question about being tight, aggressive and having discipline. Being tricky is not that important, not against the average player anyway. Having one of these good guys at your table is no problem.

If u are multitabling then u should avoid a bit overaggressive, tricky players. The good ones doesnt go out of line as often and u can often fold when they play back at u.

Would you say this advice goes for 5/10 6 max as well? Or is it based on 10/20 players bordering on being too tricky in general. I play 5/10 and am currently trying to find the right balance between solid ABC poker and taking shots at the right spots so as not to become too predictable.
