A fairly useless argument unless you live in a swing state.

Well written article, but as M said, if you don't live in a swing state, not much use.

how could a libertarian POSSIBLY vote for bush?!

what do they like? the fiscal irresponsibility or the intrusion on personal freedoms? Dubya represents everything libertarians stand AGAINST.

Because Kerry could be even worse than Bush.

It is making a -EV play that is less -EV than another.

kerry is at worst as bad as bush fiscally. kerry is way better with personal freedoms.

to me it doesn't seem close, especially given that Kerry will never ever ever get his health plan through

kerry is way better with personal freedoms.

Huh?? Look up his record on asset forfeiture laws. Neither of them score well on personal freedom.

Kerry is NOT way better on personal freedoms.

Kerry is strongly for: asset seizure/forfeiture laws, banking "know your customer" type laws, the push for making all encryption firms build "back-doors" for law-enforcement into their encryption keys. Kerry authored and/or was behind the money-laundering provisions of the Patriot Act. Kerry is as bad or worse than Ashcroft in many ways when it comes to personal rights, freedoms, privacy...

I think this is a good case of people just assuming the Democratic candidate is better on civil rights. In this case, it just isnt so as several have pointed out here.
